The useful result starts with an appropriate source and an honest description of what each stage can change.
Master only after the mix is ready
Mastering can shape final tone, dynamics and level, but it cannot reliably rebalance an isolated vocal, replace a clipped source or fix a wrong arrangement. Return to the mix or generation stage when the problem is local or structural.
Leave useful headroom, avoid unnecessary transcoding and upload the highest-quality native stereo mix you have. Keep the unmastered file as the source of truth.
Evaluate the delivery file, not the label
Listen to the whole master at a comparable playback level, inspect the loudest section and check transitions, fades and mono compatibility. A 24-bit or 48 kHz label does not repair information already lost in a compressed or clipped source.
Every distributor sets its own technical and content rules. Use the native master requested by the destination and do not infer acceptance from file format alone.

What to know before you start
Should I humanize or master first?
When both are useful, humanize the accepted mix first, approve that result, and master last. Skip humanizing when synthetic texture is not the problem.
How fast is AI music mastering?
Processing time varies with song duration, queue and service health. Suno Reverse shows job status but does not promise a fixed completion time.
Will mastering guarantee distributor acceptance?
No. A technically valid master is only one part of delivery. Rights, metadata, content, provenance and each distributor’s current rules also apply.
What files do I receive?
