A practical, source-aware workflow
The useful result starts with an appropriate source and an honest description of what each stage can change.
Stem separation is an estimate
Vocals, cymbals, guitars, reverbs and synths often overlap in frequency and stereo space. A neural separator estimates which energy belongs to each stem; it does not recover the original recording session or guarantee isolation.
Expect the hardest passages to contain bleed, phasey ambience or missing shared elements. Judge the stems in the intended remix, karaoke, editing or reference context rather than in solo only.
Protect rights and source quality
Use the highest-quality authorized source available and avoid unnecessary lossy conversions before upload. A larger WAV wrapper cannot restore a low-bitrate source, and a separated WAV is not automatically a pristine studio stem.
Permission to listen to a song does not necessarily include permission to upload, separate, remix or distribute its stems. Keep the source and authorization record, and do not present estimated stems as original multitracks.
- Check exposed intros, dense choruses and reverb tails.

Can the stem splitter remove vocals perfectly?
No. Results depend on the mix and can contain vocal bleed, missing instruments or artifacts where sources overlap.
How many stems does it return?
The current workflow returns two estimated stems: vocals and backing instrumental.
Does processing happen in my browser?
No. The file is uploaded and processed by the configured remote separation service. Do not upload confidential or unauthorized audio.
Are the WAV stems 24-bit 48 kHz studio originals?
No such claim is made. The available WAV output is provided by the separation service and remains an estimated derivative of the uploaded mix.
